Clothing tips for your senior photos
Make the most of your HS Senior photo shoot by putting some thought into the outfits you bring. We will use up to 5 outfits but you are welcome to bring more so your photographer, Kim Campbell, can help you coordinate them with your favorite backgrounds.
At your complimentary planning session–before your scheduled session–we'll take 30 minutes to choose backgrounds, discuss your style and pick out your favorite backgrounds. We'll give you the best yearbook photo...guaranteed.
Light loves texture and cameras love light. Bring some textured pieces to take advantage of this.
DON'T FORGET FEET
Make sure you've brought coordinated shoes for all of your outfits...from boots, to sneakers, to sandals.
MIX FUN + FORMAL
Sneakers and dresses, ties and blue jeans. Mix and match your fancy clothes with your casual for a playful look.
Know the colors of your background? Coordinate with it for a well-considered editorial look.
Don't shy away from patterns as they can add a fun sparkle of personality. Mix plaid and stripes, have fun.
Sports equipment, musical instruments, hobbies. Bring it along and we promise to make it look interesting.
DRESS IN LAYERS
Layer shirts, sweaters and jackets on top of undershirts or tanks. Throw on a scarf over your dress or shirt.
Oxfords, crisp shirts, khakis and jeans. These all stand the test of time and will work great in any pictures.
BUST OUT THE IRON
We know—it's a pain—but it makes a big difference in making your portraits look perfectly styled.
CHOOSE YOUR BEST COLORS
You know what colors flatter you best, everyone's told you. Bring those along to your shoot.
B & W TIPS
Bring some light and dark-toned clothes to the shoot for a black and white power punch.
If possible have lenses removed by optician before session if you have a backup pair to wear to session. Eliminates glare.
